Latch Academic Support Program

Latch is a one- to two-semester support and learning community that serves a diverse population of about 150 students per semester who are looking for support as they transition into college and develop their reading, writing, mathematics, and study skills. For 40 years, Latch’s community approach to education has helped students establish successful independent learning strategies and set realistic academic and career goals.

Latch may be for you if:

  • You are looking to develop your reading, writing, mathematics, and study skills.
  • You tested into one or more developmental courses.
  • You have had unsatisfactory academic experiences in the past.
  • You have been away from school for a long time.

The Latch program offers a mix of academic counseling and advising, tutoring, mentoring, and courses that together create a tight-knit learning community in which students learn together and from one another.

To learn more about the Latch program or to apply for enrollment, please contact us by phone 508-588-9100 ext. 1070 in Brockton or ext. 2000 in Canton, by email at latch@massasoit.mass.edu, or by stopping by Room T-330 in the Technology Building on Massasoit’s Brockton Campus or Room C-109 on the Canton campus.
