Selective Admissions

The "open enrollment" policy does not apply to "selective admissions" programs of study which may have specific deadlines, prerequisites and other admissions criteria. See below for details.

Dental Assistant - Fall 2017

  • Submit a completed application form to the Admissions Office.
  • Submit documentation of high school graduation, GED / HiSET, or other state approved equivalency credential (transcript or diploma). All foreign high school transcripts must be evaluated.
  • Submit all official college transcripts from other institutions attended.
  • Attend the required Information Session.
  • Take college placement exams in Reading, Writing, and Mathematics and test out of or complete any developmental courses prior to the start of the program.
  • Submit one letter of recommendation.
  • All applicants will be scored using a rubric.

Insurance Billing Specialist - Fall 2017 <top>

  • Submit a completed application form to the Admissions Office.
  • Submit documentation of high school graduation, GED / HiSET, or other state approved equivalency credential (transcript or diploma). All foreign high school transcripts must be evaluated.
  • Submit all official college transcripts from other institutions attended.
  • Take College Placement Exams in Reading, Writing, and Mathematics and test out of or complete any developmental courses prior to the start of the program.

LPN to Associate Degree Advanced Placement Nurse Education - Fall 2017 (Full-time Day Program) <top>

  • Extended Deadline Date - February 2, 2017
  • Submit a completed application form to the Admissions Office.
  • Submit documentation of high school graduation, GED / HiSET, or other state approved equivalency credential (transcript or diploma). All foreign high school transcripts must be evaluated.
  • Submit all official college transcripts from other institutions attended (including LPN school).
  • Submit ATI TEAS Nursing Test results or copy of registration test date (if test is scheduled after February 1, 2017). Please contact ATI (atitesting.com) to schedule a test date after November 1, 2016.
  • Submit one letter written by applicant stating why he/she would be a good candidate for the program.
  • Attend the required Information Session. (The time limit for Information Session attendance is one year).
  • Priority consideration will be given to students who have successfully completed Microbiology, Anatomy and Physiology I, Anatomy and Physiology II and the Liberal Arts courses. All applicants will be scored using a rubric.
  • Applicants must hold current licensure as a LPN in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and submit a copy of licensure card.
  • All items must be submitted together to the Admissions Office before the deadline date of February 1st. Incomplete applications received in the mail or in person or applications received after the deadline date will not be reviewed and will be returned.
  • All LPN to Associate Degree Advanced Placement Nurse Education students must take a Bridge Course given during the summer. This course cannot be taken more than 2 years prior to admission into the Nursing program. Students who are eligible to take the Bridge Course will be notified.

LPN to Associate Degree Advanced Placement Nurse Education - Fall 2018 (Part-time Evening Program)

  • Application Deadline date - February 1
  • Submit a completed application form to the Admissions Office.
  • Submit documentation of high school graduation, GED / HiSET, or other state approved equivalency credential (transcript or diploma). All foreign high school transcripts must be evaluated.
  • Submit all official college transcripts from other institutions attended (including LPN school).
  • Submit ATI TEAS Nursing Test results or copy of registration test date (if test is scheduled after February 1, 2018). Please contact ATI (atitesting.com) to schedule a test date after November 1, 2017.
  • Submit 1 letter written by applicant stating why he/she would be a good candidate for the program and 1 letter of recommendation.
  • Attend the required Information Session. (The time limit for Information Session attendance is one year).
  • All course prerequisites must be completed: Biological Principles, Anatomy and Physiology I, Anatomy and Physiology II, General Psychology. Priority will be given to applicants receiving a “B” or better in all prerequisites.
  • Applicants must hold current licensure as a LPN in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and submit a copy of licensure card.
  • All items must be submitted together to the Admissions Office before the deadline date of February 1, 2018. Incomplete applications received in the mail or in person or applications received after the deadline date will not be reviewed and will be returned.

Medical Assistant - Fall 2017 <top>

Paramedic Program Certificate - Spring 2017 <top>

  • Priority deadline date - December 1, 2016
  • Submit a completed application form to the Admissions Office.
  • Submit documentation of high school graduation, GED / HiSET, or other state approved equivalency credential (transcript or diploma). All foreign high school transcripts must be evaluated.
  • Submit all official college transcripts from other institutions attended.
  • Submit one letter written by applicant stating why he/she would be a good candidate for the program.
  • Submit two letters of recommendation.
  • Attend the required Information Session. (The time limit for Information Session attendance is one year).
  • Take college placement exams in Reading, Writing, and Mathematics and test out of or complete any developmental courses prior to the start of the program. All applicants will be scored using a rubric.
  • Applicants must hold current certification as an EMT in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and submit a copy of certification card.
  • All items must be submitted to the Admissions Office.

Phlebotomy - Spring 2017<top>

  • Submit documentation of high school graduation, GED / HiSET, or other state approved equivalency credential (transcript or diploma). All foreign high school transcripts must be evaluated.
  • Submit all official college transcripts from other institutions attended.
  • Take College Placement Exams in Reading, Writing, and Mathematics and test out of or complete any developmental courses prior to the start of the program.
  • Submit one letter of recommendation.
  • Attend the required Information Session.
  • All applicants will be scored using a rubric.

Radiologic Technology - Fall 2017 <top>

  • Extended Deadline Date - February 2, 2017
  • Submit a completed Admissions Application to the Admissions Office.
  • Submit documentation of high school graduation, GED / HiSET, or other state approved equivalency credential (transcript or diploma). All foreign high school transcripts must be evaluated.
  • Submit all official college transcripts (in a sealed envelope) from other institutions attended.
  • Meet the Biological Principles prerequisite.*
  • Submit one letter of reference and 1 letter written by the applicant stating why he/she would be a good candidate for the Radiologic Technology program.
  • Attend the required Information Session prior to the final application deadline. (The time limit for Information Session attendance is one year.)
  • Priority consideration will be given to students who have successfully completed Anatomy and Physiology I, Anatomy and Physiology II, Introduction to Statistics or higher and the Liberal Arts courses. All applicants will be scored using a rubric.
  • All items must be submitted together to the Admissions Office before the deadline date of February 1 . Incomplete applications received in the mail or in person or applications received after the deadline date will not be reviewed and will be returned.

Respiratory Care - Fall 2017 <top>

  • Application deadline Date - June 15
  • Submit a completed application form to the Admissions Office.
  • Submit documentation of high school graduation, GED / HiSET, or other state approved equivalency credential (transcript or diploma). All foreign high school transcripts must be evaluated.
  • Submit all official college transcripts from other institutions attended.
  • Submit one letter of reference and 1 letter written by the applicant stating why he/she would be a good candidate for the Respiratory Care program.
  • Attend the required Information Session. (The time limit for Information Session attendance is one year.)
  • Meet the Biological Principles prerequisite.*
  • Priority consideration will be given to candidates who have completed Biological Principles, Anatomy & Physiology I, Anatomy & Physiology II, Intro to Statistics or higher and the Liberal Arts courses.
  • All applicants will be scored using a rubric
  • All items must be submitted together to the Admissions Office before the deadline date of June 15. Incomplete applications received in the mail or in person or applications received after the deadline date, will not be reviewed and will be returned.

Veterinary Technology - Fall 2017 <top>

  • Application deadline date - July 10, 2017
  • Submit a complete application form to the Admissions Office.
  • Submit Documentation of High School graduation, GED/HiSET, or other state approved equivalency credential (transcript or diploma). All foreign high school transcripts must be evaluated.
  • Submit all official college transcripts from other institutions attended.
  • Meet the Biological Principles prerequisite.*
  • Meet the Math prerequisite-completion of Intermediate Algebra or an equivalent Accuplacer score.
  • Meet the English prerequisites-completion of Preparing for College Reading I and Introductory Writing or an equivalent Accuplacer score.
  • Submit 2 letters of reference and 1 letter of interest.
  • Attend the recommended Information Session.
  • Priority consideration will be given to students who have successfully completed the prerequisite courses and the general core academic courses. All applicants will be scored using a rubric.
  • All items must be submitted together to the Admissions Office before the deadline date of July 10, 2017. Incomplete applications received in the mail or in person or applications received after the deadline date will not be reviewed and will be returned.

* The Biological Principles prerequisite can be met by successful completion of the Biological Principles course, successful challenge of the Biological Principles examination given by the Testing and Assessment Office.
