When student-athletes leave Massasoit, they are prepared to begin their careers or transfer to a four-year institution.
“As we conduct a thorough search for a permanent athletics director, we could not think of a better leader than Julie to help ensure that our student-athletes have the support they need succeed in their academic work and win big,” said Ray DiPasquale, President of Massasoit Community College. “Her drive, skill, professionalism, and familiarity with the Massasoit community is a critical asset for the College and Warriors athletics.”
Mulvey first came to Massasoit in 1981 as the women’s basketball coach after a standout four-year career at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. While at UMass, Mulvey played for the Minutemen from 1978-81, earning All-American accolades her senior season. She still ranks in the top-10 in several statistical categories including eighth in scoring, totaling 1,406 points. She was inducted as part of the UMass Athletics Hall of Fame 2013 Class for her excellence as a student-athlete.
