2020 Presidential Search
Over the last several months, the Board of Trustees have begun the process of searching for the college’s seventh president. To that end, the college has partnered with RH Perry & Associates to manage the search process. All updates to the process will be posted to this page.

MASSASOIT COMMUNITY COLLEGE PRESIDENTIAL SEARCH PROCESS | |
PHASE 1 – NEEDS ASSESSMENT & MARKETING | |
November 12 – December 4 | Search consultants conduct pre-search interviews with stakeholder groups across the college, including the search committee, external partners, and the Board of Trustees. |
December 8 – 24 | In consultation with the search committee, search consultants draft and finalize executive profile. View Executive Search Profile. |
By December 31 | Search committee begins recruitment process, with notifications placed on the college website and on www.rhperry.com. |
PHASE 2 – RECRUITMENT STRATEGY & CANDIDATE MANAGEMENT | |
February 15 | Application due date for candidates. |
February 5 – February 22 | Search committee members review candidate materials and evaluate all candidates. |
PHASE 3 – SELECTION & EVALUATION | |
February 23 – March 15 | Search consultants perform preliminary due diligence on top candidates based on search committee’s evaluations; search committee selects candidates to interview. |
March 17 | Regularly scheduled Board of Trustees meeting; approval of candidate pool. |
By March 18 | Candidate pool sent to Commissioner for approval. |
March 25 & March 26 | Search committee conducts semi-finalist interviews and provides a list of finalists to Board of Trustees. |
PHASE 4 – DUE DILIGENCE & CAMPUS INTERVIEWS | |
March 29 – April 9 | Board of Trustees and search consultants conduct due diligence on finalist candidates. |
April 12 – April 16 | Finalists interview with Board of Trustees and members of College community. The Commissioner and BHE have opportunity to participate. |
April 16 | Due date for campus feedback on finalists, which is distributed to the Board of Trustees. |
PHASE 5 – APPOINTMENT & CLOSURE | |
April 21 | Board of Trustees votes on finalists and recommends presidential appointment to Commissioner. Board of Higher Education votes on appointment. |
TBD | New President assumes office in coordination with the finalist’s acceptance of the offer. |
