Dietary Manager

Dietary ManagerOn November 28, 2016, a new Long-term Care federal regulation stated that all facilities must designate a Director of Food and Nutrition Services who meets the regulation’s minimum qualifications. One option for minimum qualification is a Certified Dietary Manager. Managers are allowed 5 years to meet the certification requirements for this regulation.

In order to prepare students for the certification option, Massasoit Community College has developed a 3-part Dietary Manager program. Upon successful completion of all 3 courses, students will receive a Massasoit certificate of completion and are then eligible to apply for the national Certified Dietary Manager exam offered through the Association of Nutrition and Foodservice Professionals.
