About Our Programs

Community Reads

The popularity of book discussion groups at MCC continues with this group that meets in the evening and is designed to complement the More Community Reads discussion series that takes place in the afternoon. Sessions will be led by distinguished MCC library and staff members. Books are available at local and online bookstores and at most local libraries.

About Our Instructors

Maria Andrade earned a B.A. from Boston University and an M.S. from Simmons University. She lives in Brockton, has worked at Massasoit Community College in the Library for over three years, and enjoys working with diverse student groups of all ages.

Margaret Boldt earned a B.S. in Computer Information Systems from Roger Williams University and a Masters of Library and Information Science degree from the University of Rhode Island. Madge spent 22 years as a computer programmer and project manager for a software company when she decided it was time for a career change to librarianship. She worked as a librarian at Rhode Island Hospital. In 2016 Madge joined Massasoit as the Electronic Resources Librarian and serves as the Nursing and Allied Health liaison.

Laurel Santini earned a B.A. from Taylor University and an M.A. from Emerson College.  She has been teaching in the English department at Massasoit since the Fall of 2008.
