Massasoit Community College has been allocated funds from the Howard Fund (House of Aged Men) to offer scholarships to students ages 55 and older.

Scholarships covering 75% of the cost of tuition for non-credit course (including textbooks and/or materials purchased from MCC Bookstore will be available while funding lasts.

Scholarships are available while funding lasts

Focus on serving students 55 and older interested in registering for a non-credit course or program and who demonstrate financial need.  To qualify for scholarships, students must complete the statement of need and provide documentation in the form of at least one of the following:

  • 2019 or 020 income tax return demonstrating a gross family income of up to 200% of the federal poverty level, or
  • Proof of current unemployment status from the MA Executive Office of Labor and Workforce Development, Department of Unemployment Assistance, or
  • Supplemental Nutritional Assistance Program (SNAP) or (WIC) eligibility determination from MA Division of Transitional Assistance, or
  • A letter or email from a sponsoring organization/church identifying a student as being low-income and in need of a scholarship.

Note:  Once a student has been awarded a scholarship, the student must register and pay the 25% of tuition due prior to scholarship dollars being allocated.
