Massasoit Film Society Screening – February 16 from 6:00 pm–9:00 pm
In collaboration with the Massasoit Film Society, we plan to highlight the legacy of Black contributions to STEM. Please join us for a film screening of Hidden Figures. This movie is based on the untold true stories of the female African-American mathematicians who served a vital role in NASA during the early years of the U.S. space program. Katherine G. Johnson, Dorothy Vaughan and Mary Jackson, brilliant African-American women working at NASA served as the brains behind one of the greatest operations in history, the launch of astronaut John Glenn into orbit. The visionary trio crossed all gender and race lines to inspire generations to dream big.
