Elected in 2023, Ms. Campbell is the 45th Attorney General of Massachusetts and the first Black woman to hold the office, which is responsible for civil rights enforcement, consumer protection, and criminal justice matters. Meet Massasoit's Honorees
Smirna "Nina" Silva
"I’m currently a student at Massasoit Community College pursuing an Associate’s Degree in Architecture. Growing up in Brazil, I was constantly surrounded by the sun, coastline, and open landscapes. Natural resources were simply part of everyday life. As I got older, I started to understand just how valuable those resources are, and how important it is to protect them and design our world more responsibly. I’m excited to continue shaping my path toward becoming an architect who has a focus on sustainability. On a personal level, my goal is to keep developing diverse skills, stay grounded in my values, and grow into a well-rounded professional who can make meaningful impacts through design."

"I am a part of the architectural program at Massasoit Community College. I plan to graduate in 2026 and transfer to an interior design program at a university or college to continue my education. I would also like to get a real estate license and eventually learn more about investing and managing properties. I want to be able to create properties to be affordable, sustainable, and longer lasting than typical affordable housing developments and living spaces."
