Planning for Massasoit’s Future

Strategic Plan

Beginning in 2023, Massasoit began a multi-year period of review and planning, beginning with the College’s 2024-2029 Strategic Plan. It presents a series of goals, expectations, and outcomes that will help the College be known as a regional leader that works together to provide a collaborative, respectful, student-centered community, with racially equitable opportunities and pathways to enhance individual and regional economic and social mobility.

The College’s plan was developed over the course of the 2023-2024 academic year with insights gathered from students, faculty, staff, and community partners. Upon its approval by the Board of Higher Education in the summer of 2024, the College began implementing the plan, including action items in the areas of academic affairs, enrollment, and marketing.

NECHE Accreditation

Massasoit Community College is accredited by the New England Commission of Higher Education. Our accrediation indicates that Massasoit meets or exceeds the criteria for the assessment of institutional quality.

Every 10 years, Massasoit conducts a years-long self-study, published in order to maintain is accredited status. This self study is a report indicatting how the College is living up to its mission against a series of standards. It is a campus-wide process that brings together faculty, staff, and students to ensure a range of voices and input are included.
