Program Description

Massasoit’s Hospitality Management program encourages students to acquire and develop competency in relevant and marketable business skills, including communications, quantitative analysis, critical thinking, research, and decision making. The program prepares students for employment in the rapidly expanding hotel and restaurant industry.

Hospitality students will study business applications, tourism, marketing, finances, accounting, and hotel operations. They are also introduced to a variety of business careers through learning experiences such as case analyses, simulations, community service, cooperative learning, and internships. Massasoit students gain an understanding and appreciation of technologies available in the information-based economy of the 21st century that enhance business operations.

Graduates of the Business Administration program will be able to:
  • Apply business concepts and critical thinking skills to solve problems and make decisions.
  • Evaluate and analyze information to support decision-making.
  • Communicate effectively, both in writing and orally, to business audiences.
  • Collaborate effectively in diverse teams.
  • Evaluate how ethical and stakeholder concerns impact business decisions.
