There are many ways you can attend Massasoit for Free!

Are you looking to start a new career, go back to college, or learn a new trade? Thanks to several funding sources, you may be eligible to have your Massasoit tuition, fees, books, and supplies paid for you!

Massasoit Free College Degree and Certificate Programs

If you are seeking to enroll in a free, full- or part-time degree or certificate program, apply to Massasoit today and complete Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to get started.

The MassEducate and MassReconnect programs allow all Massachusetts residents who have not yet earned a bachelor’s degree to attend Massasoit for free. No tuition. No fees. And both programs include an allowance for books and supplies for certain students. To be eligible for MassEducate or MassReconnect, you must:

  • Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid(FAFSA)
  • Apply to {college} and enroll in an approved program of study. Applications are open all year long and there’s never an application fee. Classes start {semester start dates}.
  • Have physically resided in Massachusetts for at least one year, as of the start of your first enrolled term.
  • Have earned a high school diploma or the equivalent**
  • Are enrolled in at least six credits (usually two classes) per semester in an approved program of study leading to an associate degree or certificate.
  • Maintain satisfactory academic progress in accordance with the college’s requirements.

Free Workforce and English-Language Programs

For students looking to jumpstart their careers or learn English, we offer free, non-degree, continuing education option that will meet their needs. To begin these programs, apply on the program’s webpage.

Education & Training Fund: Free entry-level healthcare programs

Are you an unemployed or under-employed Massachusetts resident interested in a rewarding healthcare career? Massasoit’s Education & Training Fund (ETF) offers eligible students access to free phlebotomy, EMT, or EKG technician trainings. These are short-term courses that provide you with the necessary skills and training to sit for each profession’s respective exams. To learn more and apply, visit Massasoit.edu/ETF.

Free English Classes

Need English classes? Bezwen klas angle? ¿Necesitas clases de inglés?

Precisa de aulas de inglês? Massasoit offers a free 34-week long program. Placement is through a lottery program after students take a placement test. Learn more online.
