Commencement Disability Access & Accommodation Requests
Massasoit Community College encourages all persons with disabilities to participate in its programs and activities. The College is committed to ensuring that the 2026 Commencement ceremony is accessible to graduating students with disabilities as well as any guests of the graduates with disabilities. Requesting Accommodations
Massasoit encourages all graduates or guests of graduates that would like to request disability accommodations to do so as early as possible to provide the College with reasonable time to coordinate the requests or secure services. Please note: No disability documentation is needed to request access or accommodation needs.
The deadlines to make requests are:
- April 24, 2026 for guests
- May 1, 2026 for graduating students

Parking & Golf Cart Escorts
Parking
Each parking lot on the Massasoit campus has accessible parking spaces. Guest are welcome to use whichever lot is most convenient.
Golf Cart Escorts
The College will have several golf carts that will pick-up and drop-off guests from each of the parking lots. Please look for pick-up/drop- off signage for each lot.
Golf carts will drop guests off near the ticket entry tent, however there is approximately 180 feet from the drop off to the ticket tent to the entry of the commencement test. If you are unfamiliar with the campus layout, we recommend that you view the Brockton Campus Map in advance of the event.
Seating
Students
Specific arrangements will be based on the individualized requests noted on the Graduating Student Accessibility Request Form.
Guests
Massasoit has arranged for an accessible seating area for guests. The specific arrangement will be based on the individualized requests noted on the Guest Accessibility Request Form.
Guests Indoor Seating Option
Massasoit will be offering an indoor space, the Student Lounge, where the Commencement ceremony can be watched. The event will be live streamed, and viewers will have access to live captioning and ASL Interpreting. Tickets are not required for entry. Seating is not reserved. Guests will have access to restrooms and open spaces. The temperature is controlled based on the weather.
ASL Interpreting & Closed Captioning
Massasoit has arranged for communication access supports including ASL interpreting and closed captioning during the ceremony.
Mobility Device Parking
Mobility devices may be parked at the back of the tent or can remain near the guests if needed. Tent staff will assist you upon arriving to the tent.
Restrooms
Accessible bathrooms are available just outside of the commencement tent. There is also an accessible restroom on the lower level of the Student Center (near the golf cart drop-off/ pick-up location).
