Student Requirements and Support Policies
C.P.R. Certification
All students admitted to and enrolled in the Nurse Education Program must submit verification of and maintain current Health Care Provider CPR certification throughout the program. Credentialing must be renewed and verified upon expiration.
Requirements:
- Current CPR documentation is required to enter any clinical agency.
- The required CPR course is the American Heart Association BLS Healthcare Provider course, which includes CPR and AED training.
- Online CPR courses or courses credentialed by other providers will not be accepted.
Students may contact the Nursing Office for information on facilities offering the required CPR course.
Drug Testing
Some clinical agencies may require drug testing for students assigned to those clinical sites. Students are responsible for complying with any such requirements.
Agency Health Requirements
Students must adhere to all clinical agency screening, immunization, and health requirements as mandated by the assigned clinical sites.
