Civic Engagement
This 20-hour course is designed to cultivate active citizenship & foster a deeper understanding of the role’s individuals play within their communities. Students will explore the principles, practices, and challenges of civic engagement, with a focus on empowering communities to address social issues and effect positive change. Through discussions, experiential learning activities, and community-based projects, students will develop knowledge and skills to become informed, engaged, and effective agents of change in their communities.

Cobblers and Lemon Bars
Come join us in making a warm fruit cobbler, perfect with vanilla ice cream or hot cocoa!
And for those of us missing the sunny weather, we will be taking a nod to Spring with a great lemon bar – a perfect snack any time of year.
This class will take place in a professional kitchen that uses a wide variety of ingredients. Please contact the Chef if you have any questions or concerns.
Please be sure to wear comfortable, flat shoes, and an apron if you have one. Feel free to bring a drink, snack or lunch, as we will be taking a short break at noon. As always, we will work together to tidy up our workspace as we bundle up your goodies. Material fee of $5.00 payable to the instructor at the beginning of class.

Holiday Ideas for Anytime
Sunrise bread is a flavorful yeast loaf of spices and dried fruits. I love this bread for toast, bread pudding, or simply smeared with butter.
We will also be making a Banana Foster Coffeecake –that is as amazing as it sounds.

Women in Politics
This 20-hour course examines the pivotal role of women in politics, focusing on their historical and contemporary contributions, challenges, and achievements. Students will explore strategies for overcoming barriers, the impact of gender diversity in leadership, and global efforts to promote women's political empowerment through case studies and interactive discussions. Cost of textbook not included in course cost. Textbook: Women in Politics, 4th Edition by Julie Dolan.
