MassReconnect
Reimagine your future with MassReconnect – At No Cost!
In February, Gov. Maura Healey proposed MassReconnect, a new program that will allow students ages 25 and older to attend community college FOR FREE. This new program has been proposed as part of her inaugural budget request and will be a game changer for prospective students looking to advance their careers once passed by the legislature.
What does it mean for me?
MassReconnect allows eligible students to attend classes at Massasoit for free! Once grants and scholarships are applied to your bill, the state will cover the remaining balance. The program provides financial support to cover the cost of tuition, fees, books and supplies as well as provide funding for career and wraparound support services to encourage you to stay enrolled and complete your degree.
Who is Eligible?
To qualify for MassReconnect, students must:
- Be at least 25 years old at application;
- Have been a resident of Massachusetts for at least one year;
- Have earned a high school diploma or equivalent;
- Have not yet completed a postsecondary degree;
- Have submitted a FAFSA; and,
- Enroll at least half-time (6 credits/semester) in an eligible program for at least two semesters in a 12-month period.
