Massasoit Pride Day
Springtime marks the launch of Pride festivals and celebrations honoring LGBTQIA+ culture and inclusion. Join the LGBTQIA+ Equity Team in welcoming the Spring and celebrating our diverse, vibrant community here at Massasoit! We will raise the Pride flag on the Brockton campus quad (outside the Student Center) and have music, treats, and photo ops for all to enjoy. Rain Date: Monday, April 25, 12:00-1:00 PM

On Thursday April 21, come experience Massasoit’s first ‘Fresh Market,’ where community members can access fresh produce, donated by Stop-and-Shop of Brockton, at no charge. The market will take place outside the Student Center on the Brockton campus, and will run from 11:30 a.m. until supplies run out. Shoppers are encouraged to bring their own bags for the produce.

The Massasoit Libraries will be hosting their next Author Hour on April 21 at 3:00 p.m. featuring Deborah Shariff, professor of new digital media, television, and film at Massasoit. She will be discussing Rice Wood, her newly released children’s book. This beautifully illustrated book tells the forgotten tale of the friendly relationships that existed between Africans and Native Americans. Register here. Massasoit Alumni Association Meat Raffle
On Saturday, May 14, the Massasoit Alumni Association Board is hosting a meat raffle from 2:00 – 5:00 p.m. at the Knights of Columbus at 1195 Bedford St. in Whitman, Mass. There will be snacks and a cash bar during the event, and raffle tickets are $6 for 12 and $3 for 4. Massasoit's Inaugural Lavender Graduation will be held at the Louison Board Room in the Student Center on our Brockton campus. Lavender Graduation is an annual ceremony conducted at many college campuses to honor LGBTQIA+ students and acknowledge their achievements and contributions in academia. The Massasoit Community College Foundation will hold “An Evening of Champions” on Saturday, May 21 at 6:00 p.m. to benefit the Marvelous Marvin Hagler Memorial Scholarship. The event will posthumously honor Hagler, a longtime supporter of Massasoit, and The Boys & Girls Club of Metro South as a champion of education in the community. Veterinary Technology Information Session
Massasoit’s open enrollment policy does not apply to the Veterinary Technology program, which is a selective admissions program of study. Selective admissions programs may have specific deadlines, prerequisites and other admissions criteria. The Veterinary Technology Program Coordinator and the Associate Director of Admissions will be in attendance to present the admissions requirements and answer questions about the Veterinary Technology Associate Degree Program.
