Dental Assistant Admissions Requirements

• Both new and current students must submit the Selective Admissions paper application.

• Submit documentation of high school graduation, GED/HiSET, or other state approved equivalency credential (transcript or diploma). All International high school credentials must be evaluated by a certified evaluation company.
• Submit official college transcripts. International college or university transcripts must be evaluated by a certified evaluation company and submitted along with a copy of the original college or university transcript.
• Attend the required Information Session. (The time limit for Information Session attendance is one year).
• Take college placement exams in Math and Writing and test out of or complete any developmental courses prior to the start of the program.

Nurse Education Admissions Requirements

• New students to Massasoit must submit the complete fillable PDF application.
• Massasoit students currently enrolled in a degree program must submit the fillable selective admissions application.
• Nursing Application Checklist.
• All required items must be submitted together to the Admissions Office with the LPN to RN Application Checklist. Application packages received after the deadline date will not be reviewed and will be returned.
• If the deadline date occurs on a weekend (Saturday or Sunday), the subsequent Monday will be regarded as the deadline date.

Required Documents

• This program is for students who currently hold an LPN in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Applicants must submit a copy of their current LPN with their application package.
• Proof of high school graduation, GED/HiSET, or other state approved equivalency credential (transcript or diploma)
• Submit official college transcripts. International college or university transcripts must be evaluated by a certified evaluation company and submitted along with a copy of the original college or university transcript.

Testing

• Submit ATI TEAS test results.
• All TEAS tests must be the most up-to-date version and must be taken in-person. Test scores must be submitted with the application package.

Eligibility

• Applicants must attend an information session within a year of applying to be eligible. Students should apply to the program after attending an information session.
• Minimum Prerequisites:
  • Biological Principles

Note that Microbiology, Anatomy & Physiology I and Anatomy & Physiology II must be taken within five years of the application deadline.

Please Note

• Statistics does not meet the Math requirement for the program.
• Applicants who score a minimum of 243 on the Advanced Algebra & Functions test will satisfy the math requirement.

• Submit ATI TEAS test results from the current version of the exam, taken in person, with a minimum score of 65 in Reading and 60 in Math required to be eligible to apply.

Eligibility

• Attend the required Information Session. (The time limit for Information Session attendance is one year). You may apply after attending an Information Session. Information Session dates and times for each application cycle will be posted beginning in September, with sessions offered from November through May.
• Meet the Biological Principles prerequisite. Note that there is no time limit for it for this program.
• If Anatomy and Physiology I and II are successfully transferred to Massasoit, this requirement will be waived.
• Priority consideration will be given to students who have successfully completed Anatomy and Physiology I, Anatomy and Physiology II. There is no time limit for science courses for this program.
• All applicants will be scored using a rubric.

Veterinary Technology Admissions Requirements

• Submit 2 professional references and 1 personal statement.

Eligibility

• Attend the required Information Session. (The time limit for Information Session attendance is one year).
• Meet the General Chemistry or equivalent course prerequisite with a grade of C or higher.
• Meet the Math prerequisite- College Algebra or equivalent with a grade of C or higher.
• Meet the Biological Principles or equivalent course prerequisite with a grade of C or higher.
• Priority consideration will be given to students who have successfully completed the prerequisite courses and some or all of the general core academic courses. All applicants will be scored using a rubric.
