Massasoit and Curry College Create Pathway to Business Administration Bachelor’s Degree

October 23, 2020 – Beginning this spring, Massasoit students who have completed their associate degree in business administration will have the opportunity to earn their bachelor of science in business administration through a special transfer partnership with Curry College. The Curry College Business Administration Pathway program allows Massasoit graduates to fully transfer their associate degree, and students and alumni can complete as many as 90 credit hours at Massasoit, with their final year a capstone with Curry College offered at a competitive discounted rate.

“The demand for well-trained business professionals in our area is at an all-time high, and this educational option with Curry College gives Massasoit students a streamlined path to a valuable bachelor’s degree,” said Massasoit President Dr. Gena Glickman.

With the first cohort to begin January 21, students work through the 10 business courses one at a time in eight-week sessions, completing the core curriculum in as little as five semesters. The spring semester courses are delivered fully online, which includes live synchronous class experiences each week to bring students and faculty together remotely.

“Our first-class business program at Curry sets students on the path to success in any sector or industry,” says Curry College President Kenneth K. Quigley, Jr. “We are pleased and proud to provide Massasoit students a direct pathway to a business degree that will open the door to a variety of opportunities and diverse career paths.”

Students who transfer into the business administration bachelor’s program will continue their studies of the core areas of business, including human resources, accounting, economics, finance, law, and marketing. The bachelor’s degree also covers organizational behavior, business ethics, communication strategies, and decision-making models. Students will improve their skills in critical thinking, problem solving, presentation, and communication as they apply business theory to management practice and acquire the academic foundation for future graduate work.

Anyone who is interested and wants to learn more about the Massasoit and Curry College transfer partnership are encouraged to attend a virtual information session on October 27 from 12 – 1 p.m. or November 5 from 6 – 7 p.m.

Massasoit’s partnership with Curry is the College’s second baccalaureate completion collaboration in its University Collaborative, a regional resource for convenient access to select higher educational opportunities for associate degree graduates to complete relevant baccalaureate degrees.
