BROCKTON, Mass (Sept. 22, 2026) – Massasoit Community College announced today that it will host a 60th Anniversary Fun Run & Walk on its Brockton campus on Saturday, October 17. The event is part of a yearlong series celebrating the College’s milestone anniversary. The public and entire Massasoit community – students, alumni, faculty, staff, families, and friends – are invited to join the race and celebration.

The routes will take participants through Massasoit's Brockton campus and conclude with a BBQ cookout. All participants will receive a t-shirt, finisher medal, and entry to the cookout. Additional specialty prizes and giveaways will also be available.

Registration is open through Wednesday, October 14 at a commemorative rate of $19.66—a nod to Massasoit’s founding year. Registration for Massasoit students and anyone 18 years old and younger is $5.00, and tickets for cookout-only guests are $5.00 per person.

All event proceeds directly benefit the Massasoit Community College Foundation, a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit that supports the College’s mission. The Foundation helps to keep students enrolled through scholarships and emergency funds and fosters engagement on campus.

Sponsorship packages are available for individuals and organizations to support the Foundation and help celebrate Massasoit’s 60-year legacy. Sponsorship levels include a range of benefits, but all sponsors will receive complimentary race entries and their name or logo on event shirts.
