Associate in Science Degree
These full-time courses of study lead to an Associate in Science degree and eligibility to take the NCLEX-RN. Classes are held primarily during the day. LPNs are admitted annually to the second year by advanced placement. Credit is given for Nursing I, II, and III. To receive advanced placement the LPN must have graduated from an approved school of practical nursing, hold a current unrestricted license to practice practical nursing in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, and have successfully completed the required prerequisite first-year courses. LPN graduates of Southeastern Regional, Blue Hills Technical, and Bristol Plymouth Technical School may be given transfer credit for the Human Growth and Development course.
