Welcome to Handshake, a powerful recruiting platform dedicated to connecting students and alums with fantastic internships, jobs, and career events! Employers use Handshake to find exceptional candidates for their job openings, and we are excited for you to explore all that it has to offer!
With Handshake, you will have the opportunity to:
- Discover Job Opportunities: Explore and apply for jobs, internships, and volunteer opportunities;
- Connect with Employers: Send and receive messages from employers who are interested in learning more about you and your unique skills;
- Access Exclusive Events: Learn about career fairs, employer events, interview days, and career-building resources to amplify your job search and
- Engage in Peer Support: Network with fellow students and alums for guidance and advice throughout your career journey.
Getting started with Handshake is easy! Simply visit Massasoit’s Handshake Sign-up Page and enter your Massasoit student email. Alums can easily log in using your personal email on the sign-up page—our admin team will verify and approve your access.
Once your account is set up, you can create your profile, upload your resume, and start customizing your job search. To make your job hunt even more manageable, you can download the Handshake app and have all current job postings at your fingertips, making your job search even easier! The Handshake app is available for download on both iOS and Android.

Helpful Handshake Tips and Tricks
By “following” an employer, you will receive notifications about any job or internship postings and events they add, giving you a competitive edge in your job search by keeping you informed whenever an employer updates their postings or events. To “follow” an employer, click on “Jobs,” then “Employers,” and select “Follow.”
Handshake’s “Employer” section also allows you to filter employers based on location, company size, and industry, which is helpful for discovering new and relevant employers to help broaden your search.
Employers can also message you on Handshake, so be sure to check your messages for potential introductions and opportunities!
