The Office of College Advancement
The Mission of the Advancement Office is to encourage and engage the Massasoit Community College Foundation, friends of the College, local community civic leaders, business and industry, alumni and the Alumni Association in efforts to promote an outstanding and affordable education to students, of all ages, who pursue a community college education.
To advance and accomplish this mission, the Advancement Office has organized the Annual Gala, Golf Tournament, and Arts Festival. In addition, this department organizes and oversees the Donor Appreciation Breakfast, the Annual Appeal, the Friend’s Appeal, Employee Giving, corporate fundraising, major gifts, planned giving, matching gifts, maintenance of existing scholarships, efforts to create new scholarships and the Capital Campaign.
The Massasoit Community College Foundation, Inc. is a tax-exempt 501(c)(3) organization established in 1970 to foster and promote the growth, progress, and general welfare of the college and its students.
The Office of Alumni Relations connects alumni to one another and to the College by organizing events, providing services and news of value, offering volunteer opportunities, and creating links to today’s students as well as future students.
Massasoit Community College offers Massasoit students and local employers the opportunity to enter into mutually-beneficial work relationships through our internship program. Internships are educational experiences in which students work for a local employer/host company in a position related to their field of study.
Our annual #GivingTuesday campaign to supports our Student Services Support Fund, which was established to provide funding for the United Student Fund and the Food Pantry as well as basic student support services. With your participation, we can continue to help many of our students who find themselves facing financial emergencies or struggling to put food on the table. It is because of our students’ courage and commitment to learning that we continue to do what we do as a college community.
