Interim President Bill Mitchell

Bill Mitchell, Vice President for Administration and Chief Financial Officer, was named Interim President at Massasoit Community College in April 2024. Bill, with more than 35 years of higher education experience, was appointed Interim President after the passing of Ray DiPasquale, Massasoit’s seventh President.

From 1985 to 1994, Bill held a number of roles across Massasoit, including in finance, student activities, and as adjunct faculty. He served as the Associate Vice Chancellor for Financial Services at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth from 1994 to 2012. In 2012, he returned to Massasoit as the Vice President for Administration and Chief Financial Officer. He served as Interim President from September 2017 until July 2018.

A proud native of Brockton, Bill first came to Massasoit Community College as a student before his career in minor league baseball. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Management from Bridgewater State University and a Master of Arts in Public Administration from Framingham State University.
