Brockton Art Week 4x Comes to Massasoit May 17

May 10, 2016 – On May 17, Massasoit will host Brockton Art Week 4x  for a tour of the College’s Open Museum from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Tours will begin in the Upper Student Lounge of the Student Center on the Brockton Campus.

Roland Blanchette, social sciences professor at Massasoit Community College, applied in 2009 to collaborate with The Art Connection, a Boston-based agency that brings together public institutions and area artists. Once the partnership was approved, he formed a selection committee of faculty, staff, and students to create Massasoit’s “Open Museum” which now boasts 204 pieces of artwork on display at the College’s three locations in Brockton, Canton and Middleborough, valued at more than $300,000.

The event is free and open to the public. Light refreshments will be served.
