Federal Work Study (FWS)
Federal Work Study (FWS) is a federally funded student employment program that offers part-time jobs to eligible students with demonstrated financial need. These jobs provide income to help cover education-related expenses while offering valuable work experience.
Positions are available on Massasoit’s Brockton and Canton campuses, as well as at approved nonprofit organizations in the community.

Types of Jobs Available
Examples of FWS positions include:
Office assistant
Library support staff
Peer tutor
Media assistant
Community service provider at off-campus organizations

Pay Rates
On-campus positions: $17.00 per hour
Off-campus positions: $20.00 per hour
Eligibility and Application
To be considered for a Federal Work Study position, students must:
Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
Demonstrate financial need
Meet general eligibility requirements for federal student aid
FWS positions are limited and awarded on a first-come, first-served basis.
