Federal Work Study (FWS) is a federally funded student employment program that offers part-time jobs to eligible students with demonstrated financial need. These jobs provide income to help cover education-related expenses while offering valuable work experience.

Positions are available on Massasoit’s Brockton and Canton campuses, as well as at approved nonprofit organizations in the community.

Types of Jobs Available

Examples of FWS positions include:

  • Office assistant

  • Library support staff

  • Peer tutor

  • Media assistant

  • Community service provider at off-campus organizations

Pay Rates

  • On-campus positions: $17.00 per hour

  • Off-campus positions: $20.00 per hour
