Oct. 11, 2017 – The Massasoit STEM Scholars Associates Project is a program funded through the National Science Foundation’s Scholarships in Science, Technology, Math and Science Program (S-STEM). This 5 year grant provides Massasoit the opportunity to provide full-ride scholarships to up to 20 students per year. The scholarship is available to Pell Grant eligible students and supplements federal aid to cover the cost of a student attending Massasoit full time in a Brockton-based STEM program (LATS, LATC, CISP, or CISS). The grant covers tuition, fees, books and allowable living expenses, so that students can attend Massasoit full time and focus on their education. Students who meet eligibility requirements can renew the scholarship for up to 5 semesters. Students who receive scholarships will participate in academic and career advising, attend STEM workshops and field trips, and be eligible to participate as research interns in Massasoit’s STEM research program. Interested students should complete the online application located on the Massasoit webpage under Scholarships and awards by November 1st, 2017. Current Massasoit students go to https://massasoit.academicworks.com/opportunities/1407. If you have questions, please contact LeeAnn Griggs at lgriggs@massasoit.edu.
