Massasoit Community College Kicks Off Women’s History Month Celebration
March 10, 2015 – Massasoit Community College kicked off Women’s History Month on Wednesday, March 4 with their annual luncheon hosted by the Women’s Resource Center. Keynote Speaker Carol Conway Bulman, President and CEO of Jack Conway Real Estate, reflected on her personal and professional journey and encouraged students to give back to their community, saying “We have an obligation to make sure we are doing the right thing each day.”
Ms. Bulman discussed the history of women’s rights and the challenges that women have overcome throughout history. Referencing the students she sat with at lunch, some of whom are the first in their family to attend college, Ms. Conway Bulman added, “I am honored to hear your stories. You should be proud.” She advised them, “We all have choices; go where your passion is. Passion is so important. You can mix your education, knowledge, and hard work, but passion pulls it all together.”
