Massasoit Community College President Ray DiPasquale Passes Away
BROCKTON, Mass (April 5, 2024) – Ray DiPasquale, the seventh President of Massasoit Community College, passed away on Thursday, April 4, 2024. Mr. DiPasquale became President of Massasoit in August 2021.
Prior to his time at Massasoit, Mr. DiPasquale served as President of Clinton Community College in New York. Additionally, he was a consultant for the Rhode Island Board of Education and served as President of the Community College of Rhode Island from July 2006 to January 2016; served as commissioner of higher education for the Rhode Island Board of Governors for Higher Education (now the Rhode Island Board of Education).
Mr. DiPasquale’s 45-year career in higher education brought him to roles across the Northeast. Before becoming a college president, he was Vice President for Enrollment Management and Student Affairs at the SUNY College at Brockport and served in a number of leadership positions at Springfield Technical Community College. He began his career in higher education at Middlesex Community College where he served as Assistant Director of Admissions.
Mr. DiPasquale was committed to serving the communities he called home and worked to advance the lives of others through education. In addition to his professional pursuits, he volunteered his time to numerous nonprofits and community organizations.
His legacy and leadership has had a significant impact on Massasoit Community College’s students, faculty, staff, and friends. He will be deeply missed by the Massasoit community.
