Aug. 15, 2017 – On Friday, July 14, Massasoit Community College received good news from the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC). After completing an intensive process that included a comprehensive self-study and a visit from a NEASC team last fall, the college received word that its accreditation has been continued for the next 10 years with a focused report in spring 2020, and a fifth-year interim report for consideration in the fall of 2021. The next comprehensive evaluation will be in fall of 2026.

“We have received strong endorsement of, and support and encouragement for our efforts. My sincere thanks to all of you who contributed to our successful reaccreditation. I am very proud of what we have accomplished and are accomplishing,” said Massasoit President, Dr. Charles Wall.

According to the NEASC website, “NEASC accreditation attests to substantial compliance with established qualitative standards, integrity in statements to the public describing the institution’s program, institutional commitment to improvement, and sufficiency of institutional resources.”
