BROCKTON, Mass ( April 22, 2024)Massasoit Community College has earned the silver designation as a military friendly school in the 2024-2025 Military Friendly® School’s list included in the upcoming issue of G.I Jobs Magazine. This is the second consecutive year the College has earned the silver distinction.

The Military Friendly® School’s list, by Viqtory, honors schools that have programs in place to embrace America’s military service members, veterans, and spouses as students and ensure their success on campus. The list is provided to service members and their families, helping them select the best school to receive the education and training needed to pursue a civilian career.

The Military Friendly Silver Designation is awarded to colleges who meet the Military Friendly requirements and score within 20% of the 10th-ranked school in their category. Institutions earning the Military Friendly® School designation were evaluated using both public data sources and responses from Victory Media’s proprietary survey.

Final ratings were determined by combining the institution’s survey scores with the assessment of the institution’s ability to meet thresholds for Student Retention, Graduation, Job Placement, Loan Repayment, Persistence (Degree Advancement or Transfer) and Loan Default rates for all students and, specifically, for student veterans.

Massasoit Community College’s Veterans Center is dedicated to those who served and is open to all military members, veterans, and their families attending Massasoit and provides services such as education and financial benefits assistance, spaces for studying and holding meetings, and opportunities for socializing.
