Sept. 10, 2020 – Massasoit Community College’s Corporate Education Department and SCORE South Eastern Mass (SEMA) are partnering to offer a new program designed for existing businesses, aspiring entrepreneurs, and students alike. NextPhase Learning is a five-part series of business essential workshops covering key topics: marketing; finance; social media; entrepreneurship; and the restaurant/hospitality sector. The series will be offered twice in fall 2020, and individuals can take a single workshop or complete all five. The program begins Monday, September 28 and will be delivered live online via Zoom.

SCORE is the nation’s largest network of volunteer business mentors dedicated to helping small businesses get off the ground, grow and achieve their goals. By design, NextPhase Learning will span SCORE’s learning continuum, including one-on-one business mentoring to longer-term consulting and advising.

“Massasoit is excited to partner with SCORE to leverage resources in support of local business growth and development. It’s an alliance we would welcome at any time but especially timely given the impact of COVID-19 on small businesses. Those who participate in the program will receive education and additional support through SCORE’s unique mentoring program.” said Maryellen Brett, associate dean of Corporate Education at Massasoit.

“The opportunity for SCORE SE Massachusetts to partner with Massasoit is at the core of our mission to support the local small business community,” said Rod Clark, SCORE SE Mass chapter co-chair. “We believe NextPhase Learning is a powerful blend of Massasoit’s academic delivery and SCORE’s business mentor capabilities.”

Each business essential session costs $75. Visit www.massasoit.edu/score to view the full schedule and to register. Call 508-588-9100 x1322 for additional information.
