Black History 101 Mobile Museum

Celebrating 30 years of committed work in preserving and educating the public on Black history, visionary educator and scholar Dr. Khalid el-Hakim, established the Black History 101 Mobile Museum. The museum stands as a renowned repository comprising over 15,000 original artifacts, spanning the painful era of the trans-Atlantic slave trade to the vibrant culture of hip hop. Dr. Khalid el-Hakim, exemplifies an unwavering dedication to preserving and advancing the profound legacy of the Black Museum Movement. As the nation’s premier traveling exhibition of Black history, the Black History 101 Mobile Museum has embarked on a remarkable journey across 43 states, sharing “ourstory” with over 1,000 institutions.

At noon, Dr. Khalid el-Hakim will speak to us about museums artifacts.
