April 9, 2018 – Students who were studying to earn a degree in Veterinary Technology at Mount Ida College are invited to have their credentials reviewed for admission to the Massasoit Community College Vet Tech program.

An AVMA-CVTEA accredited program, the Vet Tech program at Massasoit offers Mount Ida students a close-to-home, affordable option for completing their associate degree following the school’s merger with UMass. Massasoit’s program, located on the school’s Canton Campus, is designed to prepare students to enter the workforce as veterinary technicians.

The brand new,  fully equipped Vet Tech facilities at Massasoit include clinical instruction space, a surgical suite, a digital radiology room, and  cats and dogs housed on campus, enabling hands-on training of students in all aspects of practical veterinary technician skills, including surgical prep and assistance, imaging, examinations, and animal care.

“We are proud of our Vet Tech program at Massasoit, and we are certain that we are able to meet the needs of Mount Ida students who are in need of a place to complete their associate degree,” said Doug Brown, dean of science and mathematics at Massasoit Community College.
