About Our Program

This is a state-approved two-part program designed to start a trainee on the required pathway towards becoming a licensed Massachusetts home inspector. Trainees are required to attain 72 hours of classroom training and discussion in topics listed by the Board of Registration of Home Inspectors. Trainees are also required to select 3 additional training hours at a venue of their choice to attain a total of 75 training hours.

There is an additional $50 fee payable to the instructor for copies of the PowerPoint presentation as well as a $75 fee payable to the college for any make-up classes an individual student may need.  Recommended textbooks: Mechanical Systems and NHIE Content Material and Structural Systems and Business Manual by Bruce Barker are available at https://nationalhomeinspectorexam.org/books.
