Resources for Immigrant Students
Resources for Immigrant Students
Massasoit welcomes applications from all immigrant students, regardless of immigration status. Immigrant students and their supporters may find the following resources helpful.
In-state Tuition & Paying for College:
Generally, students who are U.S. citizens, lawful immigrants, or permanent residents of the United States have resided in the United States for more than 6 months and in Massachusetts for six continuous months are eligible for in-state tuition. Students who are an approved “High School Completer” under the Massachusetts tuition equity law may also be eligible for in-state tuition.
DACA and undocumented students are not eligible for federal financial aid and should not complete a FAFSA. Students who are approved “High School Completers” under the Massachusetts tuition equity law can complete the Massachusetts Application for State Federal Aid (MASFA) and may be eligible state financial aid programs. Students seeking the in-state rate will need to submit documentation along with the correct affidavit form:
- Alternative Tuition Equity Eligibility Form and Affidavit For Current High School Seniors
- Tuition Equity Eligibility Form and Affidavit for High School Completers
Massasoit also offers college-specific scholarships and a payment plan.
