Community Member Engagement
The Ubuntu Scholars Village
The Ubuntu Scholar Village is a diverse network of professionals, voluntarily serving as on-call career resources to students that express interest in their respective field/profession. Each Villager submits a profile, which includes a headshot photo, 2 – 3 sentence biography, current job description and an email address. Throughout the semester, students from the program may email Villagers to learn more about their noted career; members of the Ubuntu Scholars Village are required to reply via email within 48 hours of receiving the message in question.
Guest Speakers | Workshop Facilitation | Community Mentor Referral
Community Members can indicate their interest in offering any of the noted services to the Ubuntu Scholar membership per the list provided and/or recommend a community members service to the program .
Please email ubuntuscholars@massasoit.edu to inquire further about how to get involved.
Breakfast IV Brothers & Sisters – Greater Brockton
In affiliation with the national Breakfast IV Brothers event series, the Ubuntu Scholars of the Ida Cerezo O’Donnell Unity Center proudly present Breakfast IV Brothers & Sisters – Greater Brockton. This event is a safe space for community members to explore and embrace their collective experiences. A platform for mentoring, sharing, and growing with one another. Our goal is to create a consistent platform that promotes cross-generational dialogue.
Due to our current inability to meet in person, we invite you to join us virtually via Zoom. Please reference the Unity Center calendar for details.
