Program Details
The Chemistry Transfer program is designed to prepare students for transfer to a four-year institution to pursue a bachelor’s degree in the chemical sciences or related field.
Graduates earn an Associate in Science Degree.
Program Outcomes
Upon graduating with an Associate of Science Degree in Chemistry students will be prepared to transfer as juniors into Chemistry Bachelor of Science degree programs, including those accessed through the MassTransfer Program, by satisfactory achievement of the following outcomes.
- Apply chemical concepts to solve qualitative and quantitative problems using critical thinking skills
- Perform, analyze, evaluate, and interpret chemical experiments with an emphasis on quantitative assessments
- Communicate chemical, physical, and/or mathematical concepts in written and oral form
- Explain scientific principles from chemistry and the natural world
- Collaborate in diverse teams in the laboratory

Degree in Chemistry Transfer
A minimum of 17 classes and 62 credits is required. At least 16 credits of your program must be taken at Massasoit. Note: Each course completed and passed can only fulfill one program requirement. The same course cannot be used to satisfy multiple program requirements.
