Program Details
The Computer Science Transfer – Data Science program prepares students to continue their studies for a baccalaureate degree in Data Science.
Graduates earn an Associate of Science Degree.
Program Outcomes
Students graduating from Massasoit’s Computer Science Transfer – Data Science Program should be able to:
- Every program graduate will have the skills and knowledge necessary to transfer to a four-year institution to complete a bachelor’s degree in Data Science.
- Every program graduate will be able to think critically and analytically, and be able to communicate, and interact using social and interpersonal skills.
- Every program graduate will be able to demonstrate critical knowledge of data collection, data cleaning, statistical analysis, and data visualization, and the relationship between them.
- Every program graduate will be able to develop programs in Python and R, and to design and implement an appropriate and secure algorithmic solution to a problem using programming languages.
- Every program graduate will be able to use industry-standard tools and techniques to effectively analyze complex data sets, derive actionable insights, and communicate findings.

A minimum of 63 credits is required. At least 17 credits of your program must be taken at Massasoit. Note: Each course completed and passed can only fulfill one program requirement. The same course cannot be used to satisfy multiple program requirements.
