Ms. Aspinwall has a master’s degree in Applied Sociology and is currently working on her doctorate in Psychoanalysis and Culture. She also taught sociology at the University of Massachusetts/Boston. Since 2004 she has worked as an ESL instructor and teacher’s trainer, a certified medical interpreter/translator, an advocate for immigrants, a program coordinator for Literacy Volunteers of Massachusetts and qualitative social researcher with a focus on minority groups. Prior to 2004, Ms. Aspinwall lived and worked in Brazil, where she directed a language school, taught ESL classes, and trained instructors.

Transitions Director Linda Aspinwall has a long history of working with culturally diverse populations. She has traveled abroad extensively, and lived and worked in Brazil for over 25 years. She is both bilingual and bicultural. While living in Brazil she studied Portuguese and ESL at the Catholic University, taught ESL at all academic levels (grammar through graduate school), directed a language school and worked as a volunteer on academic projects for young adults at risk. She has been serving the student community at Massasoit since 2008.


Danielle Bowker

Ms. Bowker holds a MEd in School Librarianship from Bridgewater State University and a Masters in Library and Information Science from the University of Rhode Island. She taught Library Skills at Bridgewater State University from 1994 to 2000.

From 1987 to 2015, Ms. Bowker worked at the Middleborough Public Library, serving as Director from 2005 to her retirement in 2015. She joined the Massasoit Community College family in 2017 as an assistant to the Transitions and ESOL program. She began assisting students in her current position as College and Career Advisor in 2020.
