    This 4-session seminar will focus on topics to help personnel involved in public interactions to deal professionally, such as: creating a positive atmosphere, minimizing unnecessary frustration, the value of responding to requests in a timely manner, and dealing with difficult situations. Learn the techniques involved in how to build a climate of trust and cohesion.   • Deliver a Dynamic Presentation
    Participants will learn their style of communication and develop techniques used in presentations which will help improve delivery skills, increase confidence and build rapport with the audience. Each participant will complete an online Disc assessment prior to the first session.
  • ESOL Assessment
    Students are issued a standardized assessment which is graded and used in placing them into the appropriate level of training.
  • ESOL for the Workplace
    The goal of this course is to develop English language skills, with particular emphasis on reading comprehension. Grammar will be taught with the primary goal of recognition and understanding of the structure. It will focus on the ability to write complete sentences and short paragraphs. Workplace materials will be incorporated into the training.

  • Fundraising for Non-Profits
    This seminar will focus on topics to help develop a successful fundraising campaign, such as: begin development of a strategic plan, analyze potential cash and non-cash resources of key corporate partners, review strategies and tools necessary to develop a fundable annual appeal, and learn best strategies on how to create a successful event.
  • GED Review for the Workplace
    This 48-hour course is designed to prepare students for the GED test. Instructional emphasis is on English language and reading skills, as well as mathematics and use of the GED test- specific calculator. The course is a fast review, not designed to address needs for in-depth ESOL or ABE instruction. Before registering, a pre-assessment is required.
  • Grant Writing for Non-Profits
    This seminar will focus on topics to help personnel involved in grant writing from outlining your object, organizing an effective proposal narrative, preparing a realistic budget, writing a budget justification including the right personnel, finalizing and sending the proposal, and organizing effective teams.
  • Introduction to Project Management, Part 1 & 2
    This introductory course in project management is designed to introduce the concepts of project management to individuals who work alone or work together in a team. Using a holistic approach, the course introduces the participants to the five project management process groups: initiating, planning, executing, monitoring and controlling and closing. The course is crafted into step-by-step approach with easy-to-follow examples that can be applied to projects of any type and size.
  • Lean Strategies for Business
    This session will introduce participants to lean concepts, whether working in manufacturing or service Company. Examples of practical, common sense projects will be presented and discussed that can be implemented throughout all organizational levels. Start developing a lean organization today.
  • Math in the Workplace
    A study of basic arithmetic skills including whole numbers, fractions, decimals, percents, proportions and order of operations with signed numbers. This course will also explore problem solving in applied situations.
  • Presentation Survival School
    A great presenter has two notable qualities: appropriate skills and personal confidence. Confidence comes from knowing what you want to say and being comfortable with your communication skills. In this 3 hour workshop, participants will develop the following skills that will make them a better speaker and presenter: establishing a rapport with your audience, learning techniques to reduce nervousness and fear, understanding your strengths as a presenter and how to appeal to different types of people, recognizing how visual aids can create impact and attention, developing techniques to create a professional presence, and learning some different ways to prepare and organize information.
  • Principles of Partnership Selling

    This course will explore the nature and dynamics of conflict, assertive communication, preferred styles for dealing with conflict, fairness issues and the value of joint problem-solving to produce win-win situations. You will learn to identify the five typical responses to conflict and how to diagnose, plan, and prepare and implement an effective action plan to resolve conflict constructively.
  • Social Media Marketing
    This 3 hour seminar will focus on determining which of the social media providers is best for your business, how to plan for its’ use, what your message should be and how best to use the data generated to support your business activities.
  • Spanish at the Workplace
    Spanish in the workplace is an introductory workshop which will provide participants with an introduction to simple Spanish phrases and some frequently used questions and dialogue that can be integrated into the daily workplace. This class is designed for the employee who would like to participate in simple conversational Spanish with their fellow employees in the workplace.
  • Supervisor’s Survival Guide
    Transitioning to a supervisor can be disastrous without the tools to do the job. What are the initial “must haves” for a supervisor? This workshop provides the supervisor with the required basic tools to begin their role as a supervisor. Supervisors will learn to manage their former peers, set goral with employees, deliver feedback effectively, delegate and communicate effectively based on the various styles of their employees. This workshop is a must for the newly appointed supervisor.
  • Time Management
    Where does the time go? This course explores what time management is and how participants can better manage their time. Topics include planning, prioritization, goal setting and dealing with interruptions, procrastination and clutter.
