Massasoit’s Food Production Certificate enables students to:

  • practice the technical skills used in food preparation and service;
  • become proficient in the proper use and maintenance of professional food service equipment;
  • and apply fundamental concepts, skills, and techniques of basic baking.

Students also learn how to apply the principles of food identification, food utilization, and menu writing for the contemporary job market.

The certificate can be completed in two semesters, and courses completed in Food Production also meet requirements for Massasoit’s Associate in Applied Science in Culinary Arts.
