Massasoit Community College offers associate degree programs (two-year) in arts, sciences, and applied sciences, as well as one-year and short-term certificates for a range of occupations and interests. Jobs skills training courses, personal enrichment classes, theater and concert performances, a children’s preschool, athletics, and programs for high school seniors are among the other offerings. Both the Brockton and Canton campuses are located within an hour of Boston, Massachusetts, and Providence, Rhode Island, and are accessible by a variety of public transportation options. Massasoit offers an inter-campus shuttle that allows for easy access between the Brockton and Canton campuses.

A Diverse Community

The city of Brockton prides itself on its diversity of cultures and is home to approximately 95,000 residents. Of all residents, nearly 28 percent were born outside of the United States, and 38 percent are speakers of a non-English language. Brockton has one of the largest populations of people with Cape Verdean heritage in the entire country, and is the host of the annual Cape Verdean Day Festival held each summer. Brockton also has a growing Haitian population and community.
