As Associate Dean of Massasoit’s Community College’s Corporate Education initiatives, Maryellen brings extensive leadership experience in higher education and workforce development. Prior to coming to Massasoit, she served as executive director for the South Shore Workforce Investment Board, managing the planning and execution of a wide array of workforce training initiatives, special projects and youth education & employment programs for 22 communities. Prior positions include serving in leadership positions at the University of Massachusetts Boston, as director of alumni and career programs in the College of Management as well as the assistant director of Undergraduate Admissions. Maryellen’s background in successfully initiating public-private partnerships, working with businesses and non-profit agencies, are assets to the College’s business development efforts. Maryellen has a BA from the University of Massachusetts Boston.

Steven Litcoff, the Associate Director of Corporate Education, spent the ten years before joining Massasoit Community College as an administrator handling the training of large staffs, as well as budgetary, hiring, staff performance, and fund-raising functions. At Massasoit, he directed the $200,000 Energy Efficiency Grant that provided participants with customized training, internships, and job placement. Most recently he became part of the Corporate and Community Education division as an Associate Director. Steve’s experience working with curriculum, training, and businesses has been a great asset to the college. He is presently working on his Master’s degree and resides in Easton with his wife and son.
Workforce Training Fund Consultant
With over 30 years of Management and Management Consulting experience Michael is the founder of a firm that helps clients develop training plans to achieve desired business objectives. This information is then used to develop and submit a Workforce Training Grant designed to pay for some or all of the training. In the past ten years Michael has helped dozens of clients across multiple industries develop training strategies that improved their operations, and successfully secured millions of dollar in grants for clients from the Massachusetts Workforce Training Fund. As a member of the Corporate Education team at Massasoit, Michael leads the grant writing process for area employers, assisting them in securing matched training funds through the MA Workforce Training Fund. Michael earned a bachelor’s degree from Villanova University followed by targeted business oriented graduate level study at Boston University and Rutgers University.
