At Massasoit, we want you to be successful inside and outside of the classroom! To help you succeed, we are offering community assistance resources for educational success (C.A.R.E.S.) to all students available at the Brockton Campus.

Massasoit C.A.R.E.S. & BAMSI

The Massasoit C.A.R.E.S. office and The Center for Basic Needs Security can help you locate: Healthcare, food services, housing, services for children, and other resources to help with household expenses. If you need assistance, please email Ellyn Craig, ecraig3@massasoit.mass.edu or call 508-588-9100 X 1018 for assistance.

At Massasoit Community College we learn as whole people, and to learn effectively you must have your basic needs. Any student who has difficulty accessing sufficient food to eat every day, or who lacks a safe and stable place to live, and believes this may affect their performance is encouraged to contact Ellyn Craig, Coordinator for Basic Needs Security for support.

Additionally, the BAMSI Helpline connects Massasoit students to a number of social services in the area. Please call 508-548-4357 for a phone appointment, make sure to mention that you are a Massasoit student at the time of the call.

WIC

Women, Infants, & Children (WIC) is a nutrition program that provides healthy foods, nutrition education, breastfeeding support, and referrals to healthcare and other services, free of charge, to Massachusetts families who qualify.

These services are available to students and employees of Massasoit.

BAMSI & Whitman Counseling

The BAMSI Helpline offers connections to a number of social services in the area, to contact please call: 508-548-4357. Please mention that you are a Massasoit student when calling.

For students in need of counseling and/or mental health services Massasoit has partnered with Whitman Counseling. To contact Whitman Counseling please call: 781-447-6425 (then dial 0). Please mention that you are a Massasoit student when calling.

The Pantry & Alice’s Closet

The Pantry is a judgement-free space. Students are welcomed to use the space daily with their student ID.  Students seeking clothing may visit The Pantry to request an appointment with Alice’s Closet.

The Pantry has partnered with the Brockton Area Hunger Network (BAHN) and is open monthly to community members. You may visit The Pantry to register for a BAHN card.

Stop and Shop, and the Greater Boston Food Bank provides groceries and toiletries to The Pantry. Dignity Matters donates personal care and garments that are offered to students. Hope and Comfort donates hygiene items for students that are located within the pantry as well.
